THE MESSAGE PG2

There was no greed or selfishness in her. She only took from the world what she needed. American Indians of old lived that way, too. In my opinion, only someone selfish and greedy will disagree with her thinking. There is, always has been, and always will be enough resources on earth to provide for everyone. So why are people starving and homeless? Because the wealthy gobble up an obscene amount more than their fair share. The proof is that the top ten percent of income earners in America possess seventy percent of the country’s total net worth. The proof is that the top one percent owns thirty-two percent of the country’s net worth. The proof is that forty percent of the people in America are obese. The selfish defend their right to live fat while millions go hungry. Is it not every person’s right to have at least their basic necessities? Yes! But too many think not! In a materialistic value system, where things are king, greed is rewarded. However, what selfish people do not grasp is that we all become like that which we live for (serve). That is if we live for things, we become cold, hard, and without conscience. Psalms 115: 4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands. 5 They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not: 6 They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not: 7 They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat. 8 They that make them are like unto them; so is everyone that trusteth in them.
